Founded in 1980, International Cryogenics, Inc. designed and manufactured equipment for custom cryogenic applications. This initial focus has resulted in a remarkable record of progress, expansion and innovation in cryogenic storage and transfer equipment.

In the 1980s the company concentrated on equipment for the aerospace, research and development, industrial and medical segments of the cryogenic industry. Custom equipment manufactured by International Cryogenics (IC) has been used in sophisticated and demanding applications such as the space shuttle, solar eclipse infrared camera equipment, liquid helium transfer lines and accessories and storage containers used in servicing MRI equipment.

In the 1990s, IC developed a line of aluminum liquid nitrogen cryobiological containers, which have been used on safaris in Africa to collect semen of endangered species and for collection of many specimens used in laboratories and research centers. These containers are now sold throughout the United States as well as in more than 40 countries around the world.

Today IC manufactures products for a wide variety of markets: magnets, superconducting gravity meters, medical and industrial research laboratories, aerospace applications, agriculture, cryobiology, life sciences and the welding gases industry.

Centrally located in the midwest (Indianapolis, Indiana) in a modern 26,000 square-foot manufacturing facility, IC has assembled a sophisticated and experienced staff, dedicated to the storage, transport and transfer of cryogenic liquids for an ever-growing list of advanced science and technology applications. Customer loyalty built upon high quality products and exceptional service continues to be the driving force behind IC’s remarkable growth.

IC is an SBA certified small business. It is a Corporate Sustaining Member of the Cryogenic Society of America (CSA), a member of the Gases and Welding Distributors Association (GAWDA) and the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.
